Calico nimbly dodged the smash, a crater now where he had stood moments before. Taking the opening left after such an attack, he took two swipes at Stripe; a horizontal one aimed at the face, and a vertical one at his body. Calico then retreated again just before Stripe could move again. Cat and mouse seemed fun and all, even though Calico thought of himself as the mouse, but hitting and running alone wouldn't win the battle. Calico had to make some decisive hits, before Stripe did.

The guard easily caught on to what Nirvei was planning and countered with an energy blast. Nirvei couldn’t dodge a shot from point blank range and she knew it. The only thing she could do was spin around and cross her arms over her face and hope they absorbed most of the blast. Her right arm was still hurt from earlier, but the girl didn’t have much of a choice. ‘This is going to leave a mark,’ was the only thing running through her mind as she was thrown backwards by the blast and collided with the ground below.

I won't give up, Oba-Chan....
Uppy couldn't keep this going all day. But neither could Brokel. He figured he had two options at this point; one would have him continue this futile beam clash, and the other, a sneaky one, was very risky. Riskier than the beam clash. It would also require him to lose the beam clash on purpose.
It sounded better as each second ticked by.
Brokel stopped his beam and dashed head-on at the beam, still charged with enough Ki to have kept the struggle going for a while, and seemed to be engulfed by the attack. The Kamehameha looked odd though, as it started to shudder and wobble.
Then, Brokel jumped into the air from inside the beam, burnt on his sides and breathing heavily. He was in the air, about ten feet from Uppy. The Ki Sword that he had used to split the beam in half dissipated with the last of his charged Ki, and he traveled in a short downward arc, aiming to land a momentous kick on Uppy's head.

The Situation Date: Year 19 of Deragth's Reign Main Characters: Brokel, Nirvei, Calico Primary Goal(s): Escape the Eastern Capital, Defeat Captain Stripe Secondary Goal(s): Liberate the Old HerbalistScenario: Nirvei's attempts to take back the Resistance Agent known as Sally McSally ended badly to say the least. Taking a giant Kikou Ha blast directly was not wha the fugitives needed at this crucial point. Emerging victorious, the captor of Sally McSally sinks into the shadows, his next appearance's time and location, unknown. Character Actions Captain Stripe: Nimbly moving out of the way, Stripe's feline adversary demonstrated his unprecedented level of reflexes. His boot landing in the sandy ground, a loud crash could be heard in the air as a giant crater around the point where his boot had met the ground. Not phased, Stripe fearlessly progressed further towards his opponent, staring the cat straight in the eye. A sharp, cut feeling suddenly was created on the surface of Stripe's eye, leaving an impressive horizontal slash mark. Immediately bringing up his left arm to hold his eye, Stripe acted through instinct, and brought up his other arm to intercept the follow up strike. Catching the cat's arm in mid-air, half a smile formed on Stripe's face, as he cherished the thought of what he could do while in this position, tightening his grasp on the paw, to about half of his maximum strength. Uppy: Something seemed odd at this point... And it was not the bizarre move that Brokel had just made. During the entire duration of the tense beam struggle, Uppy had been shifting his attention towards the location where the captor of Sally McSally had been, and the battle between Captain Stripe and Calico. It was only during Brokel's last ditch tactic that Uppy finally re-focused his attention to the matter at hand, as he wondered why his stone-willed adversary had given up the fight. The victorious Kamehameha that he had fired had also been behaving strangely, as it refused to pick up the pace of its' movement. Suddenly, out of the blue beam jumped a burned up Hybrid Saiyan, who seemed to have cut up the Kamehameha with a Ki based blade. Smirking at the clever tactic, Uppy knew that he had been outwitted, and clenched his whole body in preparation for the melee attack. Receiving the kick to the head full force, Uppy seemed to float backwards from the force of the descending kick, before catching a glimpse of Stripe catching a strike from Calico. Now's my chance! It was made obvious that the presumably powerful force of the kick was a mere feign by Uppy, as suddenly floated upwards, still twirling, and finally delivering a Ki powered chop to the back of Brokel's neck after completing his 360 degree upwards spin... The intention was quite obviously to temporarily incapacitate...

Calico gritted his teeth. Catch a tiger by the tail..... Be prepared for it's teeth. He prepared mentally for the bone-stressing squeeze that he knew was coming. He wasn't going to scream. That's what Stripe wanted him to do, scream......
And it was d**n hard not to, even with the preparation and even though Stripe was obviously holding back. Whatever amount of force Stripe was using was just a little more than he could endure. A betraying hiss escaped from Calico, but he managed to keep his face from twisting into a snarl of pain. Stripe was sitting there all smug and sure of himself, and Calico wouldn't give him one ounce of satisfaction by yelling pain. Red wouldn't have, wherever he was. He was probably a lobotomized slave, if Stripe really had him. Earth's captors had a way of making sure people wouldn't, or couldn't, be free.
A rather rash and unexpected idea struck Calico, but his instinct warned against teleporting away for some reason. Besides, Calico doubted he could teleport the 96 million miles from here to the sun anyway. So he decided to wait, and see what happens to Stripe-inger's cat........

Brokel was too drained after his attack to do anything about Uppy's counter chop, but again he was stubbornly resisting the inevitable. In the hazy, fleeting moments before falling into the swimming darkness, Brokel took in a few things. First, Uppy wasn't standing there, looming overhead until Brokel blacked out. No, he was more like a man on a mission, and all of his attention shifted away from Brokel as soon as he was no longer a threat.
He also saw that Stripe had Calico by his arm, which having a hulking monster that can talk such as Stripe holding you by the arm with a sadistic hateful look like that was never a good thing.
And lastly, Sally, Nirvei, and the guards that had attacked them were either missing, dead, or incapacitated -like he was about to be.
Oba-Chan..... I'm sorry.....
The waves of blackness engulfed Brokel as his consciousness slipped away.
