Nirvei seemed to have the guard exactly where she wanted him. His problem was that he had tried to use the same strategy on her as her uncle. The only difference was that she had a tendency to hold back when it came to fighting with Uncle Dior.
‘I can’t let up. If I do, he’ll regain his momentum,’ she thought while keeping her eyes focused on his prone form. Nirvei raised her left arm and shot the remaining 3 balls of purple ki up at him. If it didn’t stop him from coming after her, hopefully it weakened him enough so that she could at least fight him without the use of her right arm.

The Situation Date: Year 19 of Deragth's Reign Main Characters: Brokel, Nirvei, Calico Primary Goal(s): Escape the Eastern Capital Secondary Goal(s): Liberate the Old HerbalistScenario: The tide of the large scale battle had been slowly turning toward the fugitives, who had gained the upper hand against the Captain's personal guard. Yet the Captain himself remained calm, still confident in his own abilities. Uppy and Trippy, as Brokel had now nicknamed his adversaries gained confidence after their seemingly effective attack, perhaps too much confidence. The former of the two readied himself for what he thought was a coming attack towards him, before realizing that he had been tricked. Too late to warn his ally, Uppy watched as Trippy caught the melee attack full force, blood spurting out of his mouth as he fell to the sandy ground, the sand dancing around as he landed. Growling quietly at the sight, Uppy turned to his opponent, staring at him menacingly with a "kill" look, perhaps to the extent of exaggeration. A blue aura formed around Uppy as he continued his menacing stare, the sand rising around him as he drew out his Ki. His aura grew even fiercer as Uppy raised his arms straight above his head, before bringing them both down to his right side. Having them cupped, as if he was holding something, a luminous blue ball began to form in the middle, shining with unprecedented radiance. "Ka... Me... Ha... Me..."Still holding his blast position, the powerful winds created by the charge forced the red cloth wrapped around his nose and mouth, revealing a surprisingly pure looking face... Some meters to the left, the battle between another guard and Sally McSally raged on, the guard taking every attack that the woman threw at him. Now bleeding from the left corner of his mouth, the guard charged recklessly once again in a similar manner as before, obviously not taking the hint. And finally, furthermore to the left, the battle between the final guard and Nirvei was fought, as the guard raised his arms in response to the fired Ki Blasts. The three remaining Ki Balls exploded in a violent wave of light, the heat burning up the clothing that covered his forearms. Remaining stationary, the guard awaited the girl's next attack. Character Actions Captain Stripe: Scoffing inside at the poor attempt at an attack that Calico displayed, Stripe refused to move even a little bit. Tensing up his muscles, Stripe readied himself for the Ki Attack, which would hopefully test his body toughness. However, seeing the visible energy radiating from the charging beam, Stripe began to think twice, preparing himself to dodge if it was required. Powering up his own black aura, Stripe increased the resistance against the coming Ki Blast.

Nirvei couldn’t stop her attacks, not now. Her left arm remained in the air from her last attack; her open palm faced the sky. She began to glow again. However, this time the purple glow that surrounded her wasn’t as intense as when she was unleashing her Violet Circle attack. The ki that was causing the glow focused in her raised arm for a few moments before surging out of her body in tiny little shards. Each shard was only a few inches long, but there were far too many of them flying out of her arm to count.
The shards floated high in the air. They were much higher up than the guard who continued to hang there. “Tyrian Storm!” Nirvei suddenly closed her open palm into a fist. This caused all of the shards of ki to come back down again. However, this time they were aimed at the guard. Out of all of her special ki attacks, this one was the weakest. That didn’t mean this guy wasn’t going to be in pain after it was over. ‘Hopefully he won’t last too much longer. I want to help the others,’ Nirvei thought while closely watching her opponent.

Now the charging part was done, Calico knew because his arms didn't feel like they were being ripped of anymore. A fierce Cheshire Cat kind of smile grew across his face as the two spheres, one a thick chocolaty brown, the other a pure creamy vanilla beige, stabilized and hummed softly while spinning in a lazy but erratic pattern.
"Lets put some Chocolate," Calico said with a light in his eyes, "And Vanilla together!" With that he brought his arms forward, and the two spheres clashed together, a bright crackle and sizzle erupting as they reluctantly began to meld, although not quite mixing together as they slowly began forming into one giant sphere.

(OOC: Calico, you forgot Sally again. I gave you a small grace period but due to time press I have to reply.)
Brokel's whole body tensed. He scrambled to readily avoid the beam at all costs. Every instinct and warning buzzed inside his head as the guard charged up the beam attack.
"Ka... Me... Ha... Me..."
A pure light radiated from Uppy's closed hands, and the purity and focus of the light, for some reason, made Brokel think that the energy was coming from Uppy's heart. A Hellspawn with a pure heart?
The winds created by the energy whipped back Uppy's face-cloth, revealing a stunningly and definitely pure looking face. What was going on? Brokel forced such thought out of his mind for now. They weren't useful to his survival right now, and frankly, Brokel didn't care who he was. He was shooting a deadly energy attack out of his hands, and that was enough cause for him to be an enemy. Brokel weighed his options: dodge and survive, or block and possibly die?
There was a third option.
Brokel stood daringly still, but tense and ready. None of that I-can-eat-your-beam-for-breakfast stuff, just uncertainty and fear. And joy, the thrill of battle. The fascination deep inside with a good challenge.
"Well, this is it," Brokel said in an eerie calm. He stepped backwards and started charging hi in his hand too.

The Situation Date: Year 19 of Deragth's Reign Main Characters: Brokel, Nirvei, Calico Primary Goal(s): Escape the Eastern Capital, Defeat Captain Stripe Secondary Goal(s): Liberate the Old HerbalistScenario: Innumerable particles of sand enveloped the area that was now a field that housed the battle between the three escaped fugitives and the East Military Branch forces led by the infamous Captain himself. The skirmish that was occurring between the seemingly pure Hellspawn and the Hybrid Saiyan Brokel had turned out to be the most climatic. After several clashes of the fist, it seemed that the feud was to finish with a Beam Struggle. His eyes locked on Brokel, Uppy maintained the streak in his eye... It would not take a genius to understand that something was different about this one. Refusing to show any hint of emotion, Uppy's eyes grew in size, as the Kamehameha's energy level reached its' peak. The glowing blue shone brighter than ever, as yet more dust and sand particles floated about... With a burst of blue light, Uppy's aura disppeared violently, as what once was a ball floating in between his hands converted into a giant blue, cylinder shaped blast. The heavens themselves trembled before the legendary blast, as the skies above changed in color into a jet black tone... Some distance away raged the battle between Nirvei and another of the Captain's guard. So far, the two had been dealing blow after blow toward each other, but it seemed the guard had lost his edge, as he stood before her, injured and bleeding, a result of the impact of many Ki Attacks. Before the final attacks, the guard stood helpless, as he begun his suicidal dash towards the girl. An aura was conjured as he charged up a small Kikouha in his lagging right hand, before firing it in a rushed manner, screaming as he did so, making contact with the Ki shards, which passed right through his pale skin. And with that, the guard collapsed onto the sandy floor, motionless, and perhaps even dead... Finally, the battle between Sally McSally and the third guard, which had been practically invisible by eye to the others had reached a conclusion, as the guard took advantage of a stall of attacks on his adversary's part, and begun with a knee to the gut, and following up with several Ki backed attacks. Finishing with a bicycle kick to the chin, the guard immediately dashed behind the girl to grab hold of her with a neck lock. Now helpless, there was little Sally McSally could do... Character Actions Captain Stripe: (Still standing there Not much to say about it) Note: The capture of Sally McSally is part of the plot, so its' inevitable, just need to clear that up, PM me for further insight on the matter.

"ICE CREAM MELTDOWN!" Calico yelled once the spheres stabilized and intertwined. A twisted beam of brown and beige shot out of the sphere at terrifying speed toward its target, Stripe.

Brokel's charged energy beam met Uppy's halfway, with a flash of light and a sound like thunder for an instant before the struggle began. It was no doubt a surprise to Uppy, the resistance given by Brokel's beam. Because a few heartbeats before Brokel fired, his own heart seemed to pour energy into the beam itself.
The beam struggle raged on, neither side gaining a sure advantage in the beginning.

Nirvei’s ki had steadily been draining throughout the battle. What else could you expect when you use energy attack after energy attack? If the fight went on much longer, the Keretian would have to resort to physical combat.
Apparently the guard wasn’t quite done yet as he made one final charge at her. ‘Is he nuts?! Does he really have enough energy to continue after all that?!’ Not exactly; he collapsed soon after beginning his sprint. He managed to get off one last attack before he went down though. “Woah!” Nirvei frantically dove to the side and just barely managed to avoid the rather large energy blast. Her clothes were singed, but she was otherwise unharmed.
Nirvei picked herself up off the ground and looked over to the fallen man. As much as she had wished not to kill him, the girl figured that it was inevitable. At least it was over. ‘Wait, what am I thinking? It’s not even close to being over,’ she thought as a lump formed in her throat. That was just one of four guards. Then there was Captain Stripe to deal with. The girl was feeling drained, but she knew she couldn’t stop now. Nirvei looked around to see how the others were doing. Maybe they were holding up better than she was.

The Situation Date: Year 19 of Deragth's Reign Main Characters: Brokel, Nirvei, Calico Primary Goal(s): Escape the Eastern Capital, Defeat Captain Stripe Secondary Goal(s): Liberate the Old HerbalistScenario: With the defeat of Nirvei's opponent, and the capture of Sally McSally, the tides of the battles had once again stabilized, as everyone would look to the beam struggle between the pure-faced Hellspawn and Brokel. And off in the near distance, Calico continued his battle with the Captain himself... Character Actions Captain Stripe: Staring down the odd colored blast as if it was nothing, Stripe remained motionless, no sign of emotion on his face. The aura that radiated around him blazed like a raging flame, as the blast continued to zoom toward its' target. Letting out a masculine cry as the blast reached within three feet of him, Stripe's aura grew in size to meet the large blast. The impact forced Stripe backwards, as he stabilized himself, his feet sliding backwards into the dirt as the blast's force pushed him backwards. In a flash, the blast exploded into a cloud of smoke. Clearing slowly, the grey smoke gradually revealed the figure of Stripe, who stood in the center of a giant circular crater... Burned in several places, it seemed that the Captain had actually miscalculated the attack, which in turn broke through his barrier. Growling quietly, the Captain's once emotionless face was now flooded with anger and rage. However, for some reason, he still refrained from making a move... Perhaps now would be an opportune time to follow up... Maybe not... Uppy: The wind that was created by the friction of the two opposing powers, and their sheer power rippled through his black hair, as he remained tireless. Blue lights danced around him as his aura grew alongside the Kamehameha beam that had been powered up... He hoped- No, Uppy knew that this would create an advantage in the struggle... But this Hybrid Saiyan had yet to feel even quarter of the strength of this Hellspawn...

If Stripe looked for Calico where Calico had been, he wouldn't see him, because Calico had teleported after the blast hit. Calico was sure it wouldn't do more than weaken him at best, and it had definitely pissed Stripe off. He had felt the barrier being built up before attacking, but he knew he had an edge over it. Ice Cream Meltdown was a piercing attack, the beam from the melded spheres acted like a drill bit. Stripe's barrier too most of the edge off, and Stripe definitely had alot of endurance.
Calico swooped in quickly from Stripe's left flank, offensive in a defensive sort of way, and swiped at Stripe's shoulder with his claws before taking a quick retreating step. He could outrun Stripe at the very least, and his sinewy movement and his slowly recharging aura gave off that Calico wasn't far from finished, and that he had more confidence than before. He just had to play it smart, and take openings when he saw them. Stripe was angry now, and would no doubt come at Calico, especially since Calico planned to draw blood with his claw attack. Rage had a way of causing opponents to make mistakes.

How was everybody holding up so far? Calico was still facing off against Captain Stripe. Brokel had taken down one guard and was already working on another. There was something missing though, something that was pulling at the back of Nirvei’s mind. Her eyes widened as she realized what it was. Where was Sally?! The girl’s eyes darted about frantically before finally spotting her. The sight wasn’t a pleasant one.
Sally’s battle against the guard had been an unsuccessful one. The man had her by the neck and it didn’t look like she would be able to break free on her own. Nirvei knew that she could stand back and do nothing about it. She was still weak from the last fight, but maybe there was something she could do to help. Nirvei broke into a dash and ran at Sally’s captor. As soon as she was close enough, she would attempt to slide tackle the man’s legs. ‘I don’t have much energy left to spare. I’ve got to make every attack count.’

Brokel felt Uppy powering up and knew he had to do something, or else he would be done for. Brokel had only charged the beam for a little while, but if Uppy could charge his while shooting, then Brokel could too. He had just never tried before. That block was back up between his heart and his arm again, and he didn't know how he had opened that in the first place. Uppy certainly knew how.
Brokel realized that Uppy was throwing his will into the attack too. His determination, and confidence were what gave the beam its kick, while brokel stood there with a beam powered by fear and urgency. He had to do better. He had to! What would happen to his traveling companions? Sure, he only knew him for a few hours, and they would probably turn on him at any minute, but they didn't try to immediately kill him or steal from him, so he owed them sort of. Besides, Calico went comatose to save him and Nirvei, and he could relate with Nirvei about being prosecuted for no good reason. And Sally was just darn cute.
And Oba-Chan...... Oba-Chan wouldn't want him to give up.
Again, the door holding his power in opened, and his aura grew competitively with the Hellspawn Soldier nicknamed Uppy. The beam struggle came to a standstill for a moment, giving Brokel valuable time to come up with a strategy.

The Situation Date: Year 19 of Deragth's Reign Main Characters: Brokel, Nirvei, Calico Primary Goal(s): Escape the Eastern Capital, Defeat Captain Stripe Secondary Goal(s): Liberate the Old HerbalistScenario: At this point, the side of Captain Stripe seemed to be on the verge of victory, as the one known as Sally McSally had been captured, and the giant cat had resorted to guerrilla tactics. All hope now lay on Brokel's shoulders as he fought on with the beam struggle... Meanwhile, the captor of Sally McSally maintained his headlock, tightening his grip on the girl as he noticed the incoming attack by the recently triumphant Nirvei Vaspoir. Predicting the nature of the attack through battle experience, the guard smirked with confidence underneath the cloth that covered the majority of his face. They knew nothing about who they were dealing with. Responding with inhuman reflexes, the guard jumped up to avoid the sweep, before landing on the ground quickly... Swiftly, the guard turned his upper body halfway, then raising his free arm in the girl's direction. "Sweet dreams!"In a flash, the entire area was illuminated by yellow light that shone as a result of a giant Ki blast fired at point blank range. Without hesitation, the guard immediately jumped up into the air, Sally's head still locked by his arm, and departed from the scarred area. He truly did not care if the girl was alive or not, it no longer mattered... Character Actions Captain Stripe: Enraged by the blast that had penetrated his Ki Barrier, Stripe searched the air for any sign of the disappeared cat. It was that same old trick that the cat had used to escape the Military Branch, but here, hundreds of kilometers from any sign of civilization, there was nowhere to hide... All of a sudden, a sharp piercing pain could be felt on Stripe's left shoulder blade. Taken aback, Stripe immediately turned his attention to his left flank, catching a glimpse of a retreating cat. More angry than ever, Stripe gave a loud growl, before conjuring his aura and leaping into the air, and upon descent would deliver a gravity-powered and rage-backed fist to the head. Uppy: Progressing effortlessly through the beam struggle, Uppy's facial expression remained calm and emotionless. Allowing the blue beam to do all of the work, Uppy noticed an increase in the power of his adversary's blast. But still, it was nothing compared to Uppy's power. If only his opponent would give up already, Uppy could move on with his true purpose in this area... As all was not what it seemed...
